Hi! My name is Ryder! I’ve been a farmer at NCOF for the last 3 years. 5 years ago, my family got backyard chickens as a project during Covid. Since that day, I have fallen head over heels for these chubby little birds. I know from experience that getting chickens can be daunting and that learning from experience is a scary feeling. My goal is to help others get into chicken-keeping with ease and comfort. Whether you already have chickens or not, this class is for you! If you already have chickens, this early fall class is designed to answer any questions that may come up while the seasons change and your birds begin to get ready for winter. If you don’t have chickens, this class can be a great way to learn about the very beginnings and ask questions so you can decide whether this spring is the spring you get chickens!

Throughout the class, your questions will determine what we talk about, so no matter why you’re here, you’ll learn what you need to learn!

No matter who you are, there’s always more to learn and I can promise you that by the end of this class you too will love these fluffy birds that I’ve come to love.
